How To Leave The House Prepared For Accidents – Every Time!
Be Prepared For Accidents
I’m at the pediatrician’s office to weigh and measure my newborn and I’m about to put my naked baby on the scale, when she suddenly pees all over my shirt (Yes, this actually happened!). I don’t have another clean shirt with me but I’m glad that I at least have brought a hoodie along. I remove my wet shirt and put on the hoodie, trying to act like my left shoe isn’t dripping of pee.

Unfortunately, the diaper bag only consists of my preschooler’s diapers. And they’re five sizes too big for my baby. So I have two options. Either let my baby sit in her car seat without a diaper and taking the risk of pee coming all over the seat. Or, let my baby borrow her older brother’s diaper.

What To Pack In The Diaper Bag?
Well, it’s called a diaper bag for a reason. But somehow I seem to believe that the diaper bag restocks it selfs.
You would think that I should have learned my lesson both once and twice. But guess what. I haven’t. Something is always missing. And when I restock the bag, I always seem to restock the things that aren’t missing.
I’m trying to establish the routine of checking the diaper bag before leaving the house. And I’ve created a checklist to help with that. From now on, I’ll make sure to always check this list before I leave the house and make sure that I don’t forget anything. (The checklist is available for you to download too. Just scroll down to the bottom of this page.)
